Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons of butter

  • ¼ cup honey

  • ¼ cup + 1 tablespoon brown rice syrup

  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

  • ¼ teaspoon salt

  • 2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats

  • 2 plain rice cakes, crumbled (1 cup)

  • ½ cup pumpkin seeds

  • ¼ cup sunflower seeds

  • ¼ cup flax seeds

  • 1 package SAUK FARM DRIED APPLES, chopped

  • 3 tablespoon SAUK FARM APPLE POWDER

  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon

  • ½ teaspoon ground ginger

  • 1/8 teaspoon cloves

  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg

Preparation

  • Heat oven to 325°F.
  • In a small saucepan, bring the butter, honey, brown rice syrup, and brown sugar to a gentle bowl. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla and salt.
  • Spread the oats on a sheet pan. Toast in the oven for 10 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, mix the remaining dry ingredients together in a large bowl. Fold in the oats, followed by the warm syrup.
  • Line the sheet pan with parchment paper or silicone mat. Press the mixture into an even layer onto the pan.
  • Bake 25 minutes until the top is lightly browned. Remove and cool completely before breaking apart into clusters. Store in an airtight container.
