SaviBank

#GSVMemberMonday Feature

SaviBank is a community bank proudly serving Skagit, Whatcom, Island and San Juan Counties with branches in Anacortes, Bellingham, Burlington, Concrete, Freeland, Friday Harbor, Mount Vernon, Oak Harbor, and Sedro-Woolley. SaviBank started in 2005 originally as Business Bank. At that time, 270 shareholders invested in the idea of a locally owned community bank that would serve local businesses and professionals. Today, the bank offers 10 branches, 2 loan production offices and is happily growing.

As you might imagine, SaviBank’s roots run deep in the community. Not only did they start in Skagit County, but they are currently the only community bank that is headquartered in Skagit County. Local ownership means they have a vested interest in seeing their community succeed.  That means that they go above and beyond other banks. By using knowledge and expertise, their mission is to bring long-term success to their clients and their community in a safe and sound manner.

“Whether you own a business, a home, or a dog, we are equal opportunity advocates, helpers, and champions of our clients. And whether you need assistance with your retirement, a new boat, your business, or just a good checking account, we are determined to help improve your life.” states SaviBank’s website.

When other banks are closing branches and forcing their customers online, SaviBank is opening local branches. They understand how much a community relies on its local branches; from businesses handling their deposits and obtaining cash supplies, to economic development, to residents who prefer to bank in-person. SaviBank offers service with a smile, convenient branches. empathetic bankers. plus, a commitment to keep bank funds local to help further the needs of the local economy.

We recently spoke with Jessica Olson, Burlington Branch Manager, who let us know that the Burlington branch’s two favorite Skagit grown crops are strawberries and potatoes. We think those are both solid (and delicious) choices!

As a sponsor of this year’s Skagit Farm to Pint FEST, you can meet the Burlington Branch SaviBank team and learn more about the bank at this Saturday’s festival, where they will have a booth at the FEST!
