La Conner Chamber of Commerce

#GSVMemberMonday Feature

Located at 210 Morris Street in the charming Skagit Valley town of La Conner, the mission of the La Conner Chamber of Commerce is to advance the economic, cultural, and civic welfare of the La Conner area. The Chamber is dedicated to promoting La Conner as a vibrant business community, while at the same time preserving the uniqueness and charm that makes La Conner such a wonderful place to live, work and visit.

The La Conner Chamber of Commerce office is located 210 Morris Street in downtown La Conner.

Every year, the La Conner Chamber of Commerce team fields over 1,200 visitor calls, 5000 visitor walk-ins, 160,000 website visitors, and receives over 10,000 emails a year! One of the most popular annual events in La Conner is the annual La Conner Daffodil Festival. Did you know? Over 450 acres of daffodil bulbs come to life in early to mid-March and golden fields of these beautiful Skagit grown beauties can be enjoyed in events like the Dandy Daffodil Tweed Bike Ride, The Daffodil Parade, and the Annual Pet Parade & Fashion Show. Learn more about this year’s 10th annual La Conner Daffodil Festival here.

Mark Hulst has been the Executive Director of the La Conner Chamber of Commerce since 2022. There are currently over 120 members of the La Conner Chamber and several local board members who help Mark with planning policy, planning events, and representing the business and professional leadership of the community.

We recently caught up with Mark to hear what his favorite Skagit grown crop is. Here’s what he had to say:

“Daffodils hold a special place in my heart as my favorite crop from the Skagit Valley. Beyond their vibrant hues and delicate petals, daffodils symbolize the first signs of spring, bringing hope and renewal after the long winter months. Skagit County’s expansive 450+ acres of daffodil fields create a breathtaking spectacle, marking the transition from cold weather to warmer days. Their cheerful blooms not only lift spirits but also attract visitors from far and wide, contributing to the vibrant tourism industry of the region. As the harbingers of spring, daffodils embody the resilience and beauty of nature, making them a beloved symbol of the Skagit Valley.”

From networking to marketing opportunities both online and in person, the La Conner Chamber of Commerce can provide your business some great benefits. Joining the local chamber is easy. More information about benefits and upcoming chamber events can be found on their website.

We’re grateful for the support that the Chamber has given the Genuine Skagit Valley program and are happy to feature the La Conner Chamber of Commerce as this week’s GSV Member Monday feature.
