*ADD TO YOUR SAVOR SKAGIT BOX* – Mishima Tulip Mug Created by Sauk Mountain Pottery
Add a touch of art to your Savor Skagit box. Located at the base of Sauk Mountain in the upper Skagit Valley, Artist Stephen Murray and his wife and author Nicola, opened Sauk Mountain Pottery in the 1970’s. Stephen decided to use the waste wood from the cedar shake mill industry in his community to fire his pottery and has been a wood-firing potter ever since. Stephen is widely known for his deep textured pottery and porcelin pieces depicting Skagit Valley’s mountain scenes and vibrant wildflowers, as well as for the rich tones of the wood-fired glazes.
Using an ancient Mishima technique, he has created these one-of-a-kind mugs that would make a perfect and unique addition to your Savor Skagit Tulip Festival box. Please note that mug color and pattern may vary from what is pictured here, as each mug is handmade and there are no two alike.
