SUMMARY:Community Tea Ceremony at Bow Sanctuary
DESCRIPTION:With\n\n\n\nAlyssa Voelker\n\n\n\n\n\nTea Ceremony is a practice that connects us with nature\, ourselves\, and each other. Tea is a sweet\, gentle elixir for our hearts that reminds us to slow down and simply be. We will sip tea together in silence\, creating space for meditative contemplation\, presence\, and harmony. The tea we will drink is wild or organic and is cultivated with great care. While the ritual may remain the same\, no two ceremonies are alike. That’s where you come in! Each person is sure to have a unique experience\, but magic is created in the moments we share. There will be time for discussion and reflections at the end\, if you feel called.*Please note that this Tea Ceremony will be floor seating only. There will be bolsters and supported back floor chairs available for use.\n\n\n\n$35\n\n\n\n10% off with membership\n\n\n\nREGISTER

SUMMARY:A ROSY DAY OUT! 21ST ANNUAL CELEBRATION OF THE ROSE
DESCRIPTION:We are eagerly anticipating celebrating our 21st Annual Rose Festival under the big tent centered in the charming Schoolhouse Rose Garden. This annual festival is beloved by the gardening community\, and we always enjoy rose-related conversations throughout the day. This year\, we will have wonderful discussions to attend and hope to see you in the gardens.  \n\n\n\n“A Rosy Day Out” includes a community rose display and competition in the Schoolhouse\, an ice cream social in the afternoon\, and opportunities to sit together with like-minded gardeners in the Schoolhouse Rose Garden while listening to keynote speakers. This year\, we will celebrate garden roses\, showcase a community rose display and friendly rose competition and of course\, offer tips\, tricks\, and experienced knowledge on rose care. At  3 p.m.\, our favorite “Rose Buds” Ciscoe and John\, will enthusiastically share their favorite rose companions…and give away plants too!  \n\n\n\nEnter Your Garden Roses in Our Community Rose Display & Competition \n\n\n\nIt is a joy to grow roses. It is even more fulfilling to share lovely garden roses with friends and neighbors. If you have a  rose growing in your garden that is especially fragrant or beautiful to admire\, we encourage you to enter Christianson’s  Community Rose Display. Every June during our Rose Festival\, we extend invitations to all rose gardeners to submit their roses to be voted on in the following categories: Best in Show\, Best Fragrant Rose\, and Best Floral Display incorporating perennials with roses. Ciscoe and John will announce the winners and award them each a $50 gift certificate after their 3:00 p.m. presentation under the tent. Entries must be submitted between 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. on the day of the Festival. A large part of our Rose Festival’s success is our volunteers who represent Skagit’s Tri-Valley Rose  Society. For years\, they have contributed to and managed the Community Rose Display in the Schoolhouse. A special thanks to all the volunteers for their outstanding efforts and continued enthusiasm for garden roses.   \n\n\n\nA Schedule of Rosy Events \n\n\n\n9 a.m. – 6 p.m.  Self-guided tour of our Schoolhouse Rose Garden  \n\n\n\n9 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Community Rose Display entry submissions  \n\n\n\n11:30 a.m.- 1:00 p.m. Walking tour with Marianne Binetti discussing happy plant marriages in the Schoolhouse Rose Garden \n\n\n\n10:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. Tri-Valley Rose Society members available for rose advice  \n\n\n\n1 p.m.-2 p.m. Rose Workshop with Triple Wren Farms owner and flower grower\, Sarah Pabody \n\n\n\n2 p.m. Ice Cream Social  \n\n\n\n3 p.m.-4 p.m. “Roses Through the Years” with Ciscoe Morris and John Christianson
